This is one of Colombian Bike Junkie’s Flagship tours!

This great mix of adrenaline downhill with Colombian culture exposition is one of our customers’ preferred tours. On our way we will enjoy the spectacular views of the canyon, plus face the way farmers live in this particular conditions. We will pass this fertile lands of great natural beauty patched mainly with small farms of tobacco and coffee. Our 38miles (61km) mountain biking flagship tour is always supported by a 4×4 vehicle.

  • Explore incredibly lost colonial town of Jordán.
  • Bike through amazing viewpoints and small tobacco & coffee farms.
  • Discover the “second largest Canyon in the world”.
  • Enjoy lunch at the lost town of  Jordán next to the Chicamocha river.

This spectacular ride starts at 6,625 feet (2,020 meters) and dives down into the second largest canyon in the world, the Chicamocha Canyon. Passing waterfalls, coffee and tobacco farms we ride to Jordán, a historic pueblo (town) 1440 feet above sea level. This is one place most tourists don’t have an opportunity to see. Jordán was a fixed stop- until the beginning of the 20th century- for all those horseback riders who were travelling to Bogotá from Bucaramanga or back. With the building of the highway this reality changed and the town was abandoned for many years. Jordán is our fix lunch spot.  Once your bellies are full we hop in the 4×4 and climb out of this magnificent canyon to our final cross country destination.
We will finish our tour at a refreshing natural pool to cool off, have a swim and have a celebratory beverage and watch the gorgeous pink and purple sunset. This is a day that you will never forget of over 50 km of downhill riding and views to talk about for years to come.
